Julia lived in Portland, Maine for awhile, but realized recently that there is no place like home. She spends her free time looking for buried treasures that others have discarded in thrift stores and "upcycles" them into something useful.
Heather Poire, the creator, recipe developer & photographer behind the blog Sunday Morning Banana Pancakes has a passion for sharing with the world how tasty and amazing vegan food can be with an emphasis on supporting local farms & businesses. Dasha of Peachy Kitchens didn’t cook all her life and some early life baking disasters discouraged her from stepping foot into the kitchen until she was in her twenties. Once inspired by a few good meals at her friend’s Armenian home, she fell in love with cooking and learning how to cook, and never stopped. Michelle Smith lives in Portland, Maine, with her husband, Patrick, daughter, Willa, and dog, Daisy. She works in communications for Maine Audubon and spends her free time enjoying her new role as a mom, studying herbalism and thinking up new recipes in the kitchen. She received her MA in American and New England studies and loves learning about nineteenth century American culture and literature. Ryan Marchand is an employee here at the Sunflower store. In his time away from the shop, he loves mushroom hunting, cooking, brewing beer, blacksmithing, and working with simple tools. A comic conoisseur, this guy brings his pun-y humor with him to work every day. If you don't already know him, stop in sometime to say "hi"!
You may recognize Marley Baldwin as an employee here at Sunflower Natural Foods. She’s also a yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner who enjoys assisting people reach their optimum wellness and balance through nutrition and exercise/yoga. Convinced in using food as medicine, she’s routinely creating vegan, gluten-free, raw meals and green juices.
