We are happy to announce that this morning we made our first big contribution to the Salvation Army food pantry with funds that we raised from our Community Cookbook project. Pictured here is Sunflower Owner Ana Gourlay (left) handing over a $1,000 check to Captain Sally Warren of the Salvation Army (right).
In total we have raised $2,600 from cookbook sales, and 100% of that will be donated to local food pantries this week. Also receiving a portion of our funds will be the local food pantries at St. Vincent DePaul Society, Hands Across the Table, Bread & Roses Kitchen, First Fruit Food Pantry, Vineyard Food Pantry, and the Gilmanton Food Pantry.
Thanks so much to everyone who submitted a recipe or purchased a cookbook. Your contribution has truly helped to strengthen our community this holiday season. Give yourself a pat on the back! We hope to see you soon!
Health & happiness,
