Next up in our holiday DIY series are food and gifts! As the end of the year approaches, you may be hosting a Christmas party or be looking for some handmade gift ideas. We've got both!
Here's a little inspiration...
Simple, healthy, fun - this is what's important to us when preparing meals this holiday season, because who has time for elaborate meals at this time of the year? When your family comes over, wow them with some of these fancy apps.
This fun appetizer will be a hit with guests at a holiday party and it's really simple to put together! Mix cream cheese with spices of your choice (dill or ranch spices work well) and dollop on a serving plate in a large almond shape. Stick almonds into the dip in even lines, pointy side out, until the cheese spread is covered. Add rosemary as a garnish to the top of the pinecone. Serve with crackers!
Fruit Christmas Tree
Another no-cook appetizer idea! Using only fresh food and toothpicks, you can pile up a bevy of refreshing treats at your holiday party this year. Brilliant, right? Give it a shot - No cooking required!
These charming kebabs are a kid-friendly recipe. While you're mixing and shaping your almond/cream cheese pinecone, set the kids to work on these. They'll have fun and there's no harm in them snacking while they work!
There's nothing like a handmade gift to make its receiver feel special! Take the time this holiday season to make a couple of presents for those you love - they'll notice the difference and you'll feel great, too. Here are a few ideas to get your gears turning...
You'll be surprised at how easy it is to make this soothing body butter! With only a handful of ingredients (we have all of the essentials here at Sunflower!), and a few minutes of your time, you could be giving this luxurious gift out this holiday season. Grab the recipe here!
DIY Spice Blends
Spice up the holidays with DIY seasoning blends. The foodie on your list will absolutely love these! Our bulk Frontier Spices are just waiting for you to dig into them and with these easy recipes you can't go wrong. Before you know it, they'll be asking for more!
