We wait all year for blueberry season. Growing up in New England, one usually learns Blueberries for Sal by heart (Ka-plink! Ka-plank! Ka-plunk!), and ventures to a favorite mountain or island with their own little pails in search of fresh berries to take home - if they make it home, that is. But then we grow up and have lives filled with jobs, kids, errands, and tasks, and it can be hard to make the time to go blueberry-ing again. Here at Sunflower, we highly encourage you to get out at least once during the season to harvest your own batch, even if it's small, of wild New Hampshire blueberries.
It isn't long before they're all gone...
Right now is the perfect time to pick. This photo was taken just a couple of days ago in Moultonborough. But if you absolutely can't make it out into the woods (or if you've already depleted your own stash), Sunflower can help you out. We will be stocking fresh, local blueberries while we can. The season is short, though, so it's now or next year!
We hope to see you soon,
